Catalogo della mostra VIAREGGIO LA CITTÀ NATA DAL MARE 200 ANNI DI STORIA, a cura di Maria Adriana Giusti.La mostra celebra due secoli di metamorfosi della città, raccontata attraverso un itinerario che incrocia alcuni temi come la Passeggiata, la Spiaggia, l’Architettura, il Paesaggio, le Arti, i Teatri, il Cinema, le Mode, il Carnevale, il Porto, le Darsene, la Nautica.L’obiettivo è stato costruire una visione della città, dalla scena balneare con costumi e pigiami da spiaggia, ai carri del Carnevale, dagli sguardi di artisti come Rainer Maria Rilke, Max Beckmann, Isaac Israëls, Moses Levy, alla cantieristica contemporanea.

Catalog of the exhibition VIAREGGIO THE CITY BORN FROM THE SEA, 200 YEARS OF HISTORY, curated by Maria Adriana Giusti.The exhibition celebrates two centuries of the city's metamorphosis, through an itinerary that crosses some themes such as the Promenade, Beach, Architecture, Landscape, Arts, Theaters, Cinema, Fashion, Carnival, Port, Docks, Yachting.The goal is to build a vision of the city, from the seaside scene with beach costumes and pajamas, to the floats of the Carnival, from the looks of artists such as Rainer Maria Rilke, Max Beckmann, Isaac Israëls, Moses Levy, to contemporary shipbuilding.
